Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026. This policy explains how Dandelion Psychotherapy collects, uses, and protects your personal information.
Information We Collect
When you use the contact form on our website, we collect the following personal information:
- Your name
- Your age
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your message (which may include details about your reason for seeking therapy)
We do not use cookies, analytics software, or any tracking technologies on this website. No data is collected passively as you browse.
How We Use Your Information
The personal information you provide through the contact form is used solely for the following purposes:
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a free 15-minute introductory call
- To communicate with you about scheduling and therapy-related matters
- To assess whether the therapeutic relationship is a good fit before beginning sessions
Your information is never used for marketing, shared with advertisers, or sold to third parties.
Session Recordings
To ensure quality of service and to seek clinical supervision, all therapy sessions are recorded. The confidentiality policy applies strictly to these recordings:
- Recordings are accessed only by the therapist, Yoshita Bhargava
- In supervision, only the minimum necessary information is discussed, without identifying details
- Recordings are stored securely and are not shared with any third party
Confidentiality
Everything shared during the therapy process is kept strictly confidential. There are two exceptions, consistent with professional ethical standards:
- If the therapist assesses a risk of harm to you or to others
- When disclosure is required by law
These exceptions are discussed during the initial consultation and are in line with standard clinical practice.
Data Storage and Security
Your contact form submissions are transmitted securely and stored with appropriate safeguards. Our website is hosted on Vercel, which maintains industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.
We retain your contact information only for as long as it is necessary for the purposes described above. If you do not proceed with therapy, your data is deleted within 90 days of your last communication with us.
Third-Party Services
Dandelion Psychotherapy uses the following third-party services in the course of providing therapy:
- Google Meet — for conducting online therapy sessions
- Google Calendar API — used by our therapy management app (therapy-manager.dandelion-psychotherapy.com) to read calendar events of logged-in therapists and display their weekly session schedule
- Vercel — for website hosting and form submission handling
Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data. We encourage you to review them if you have concerns. No additional third-party services are used for analytics, advertising, or tracking.
Google Calendar API — Limited Use Disclosure
Our therapy management app at therapy-manager.dandelion-psychotherapy.com uses the Google Calendar API to read your Google Calendar events (read-only). This data is used solely to identify therapy sessions from your calendar and display your weekly schedule within the app. We do not store calendar event content. Access can be revoked at any time from the app's Settings.
This section describes how we handle data obtained through Google APIs, in compliance with Google's Limited Use requirements.
- Scope used: googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly — to read calendar events of the logged-in therapist
- Purpose: Display weekly session schedule within the therapy-manager app
- Data accessed: Calendar event times and attendee information — used to create session records in the app (date and matched client only). Raw event content such as titles and descriptions is not stored.
- No advertising: Google Calendar data is never used for advertising, marketing, or profiling purposes
- No unauthorized sharing: Data obtained from Google APIs is not shared with any third party
- Revocation: You can disconnect Google Calendar access from the app's Calendar page at therapy-manager.dandelion-psychotherapy.com/dashboard/calendar or from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions
This application's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
